Our story

- Our story comes from a distant land, bathed by another sea.

It is the story of a journey of courage and dreams carried by the wind, crossing borders and cultures, until arriving here, where the sea offers new emotions.

My name is Diogal Diop and, since 1999, together with my family, I proudly manage Bagno Acacia, a corner of paradise on the Etruscan Coast.

Growing up near the sea in Senegal, I quickly learned to respect it, even obtaining my international lifeguard certification.

Having arrived in Italy, after years of sacrifices, I realized a dream: go back to the sea and build something special.

With great emotion, I was the first Senegalese to register a VAT number in Italy and, at the time, the first African entrepreneur in beach tourism. This unique path attracted the attention of newspapers and TV, making me a well-known face in this sector!

Thanks to the support of Tuscany region, I contributed to the construction of a girls' school in Dakar and, as president of a Onlus, I continue to support projects to improve healthcare facilities in Africa.

I believe in-integration and dialogue- between cultures, and every guest we welcome at Bagno Acacia constantly enriches our journey.
